TPS mounting issue

A long time ago I did the throttle body mod on my 88 NA. I had an S5 TB on the car before I did it. I just swapped out a modded throttle body from an S4 when I did the mod.

When I did it I removed my thermo-wax. Big mistake. Well Months later I modded the S5 TB that was originally on the car. I re-installed it with the thermo wax removing the S4.

My problem is THe TPS mounts differently. I need some sort of extension bracket it appears. So I must have had one originally. Does anyone have a photo of a mounted TPS on an S5 NA? If I can see what the bracket looks like it will ease identifying searching through all my parts.

And if I cannot find the bracket, it should make it easier to have something to model one after.

I went and took some pictures of my TB. Maybe I have a turbo TB on it. I had 4 TBs sitting around and this is the one I modded and installed.

Does this look like a Turbo TB?

your missing about 50 items there. somebody will have a pic and you'll see. you not even close. I am not flaming, sounds rough, I am just saying, maybe you need a Junkyard car to pull the whole throttle body off. I am looking at mine right now but I don't have a camera available.

So it takes several more parts to get the TPS mounted? What car is the TB I have off? It does look different from my others. Some one have a pic of there TB yet?

here is a comparison pic of the old tb and the new one i put on. The old one looks slightly different, but has the TPS mounts in the same spot. But the point where the TPS plunger ests is twice as far away on the new one.

86J, thanks for the pictures, but it appears the TB you have photoed is identical to the old one I had on the car. Jhammons, I know I have parts missing, but alot of them were removed from the secondary butterflies.

The pic I have posted showing my old and new TBs, the old one had the same stuff on the front it does now, add the TPS. My car in general has tons of stuff removed and changed. But if there are more parts that go on it to get my TPS to reach, that is what I need.

The TB on there now had the adjustable thing the TPS plunger touches about wice as far away from the TB as it was on my old one and the one 86J posted.

Well, I went to a junkyard to check it out. They had a 91 NA, and it had the same TB as what I puton. Problem was the car was burned up. So I saw the bracket and it looked very different.

Can an S5 TPS be used in the S4 TPS harness? IF not , I'm off to fabricate a bracket.
