TPS and idle issues

Ok I got the idle calmed down a little..

Its still hunting 200-300 RPM though. The wird thing, I left my multimeter plugged into the TPS when i started the car. Car ran decent, NO HUNTING! The multimeter was reading -1 lol. As soon as I unplugged the multimeter, the hunting started again. I can unplug the TPS and the RPM drops but it still hunts.

It does this kind of vroom vroom puff puff puff over and over again. You can hear plugs wire engine up about 300 RPM, then they stop, it drops 300rpm, and does it all over again. (i can tell thanks to my exhaust leak)

And my TPS is wierd too. I adjusted it to be 1.000 k ohm at closed throttle. When i open the throttle, it goes to 1.900 k ohms, anything after about 1/2 throttle (TPS all the way out) it reads like .700 K ohms.

Yea and this other wierd thing. ever since i started paying with the TPS. when i floor it the enigne makes this horrid squealing sound. I worry that it might be detonation so im easy on the throttle.

Any ideas?

Squeeling......probably belts?

Turn the multimeter to volts. See how many volts it is recieving. I adjusted mine this morning, so it is gettin .95 volts. If you floor it and it reads over 6k ohm you need a new one

Detonation is PING PING PING metal on metal sound

I've heard the squealing noise, its not belts. Its hard to describe but it doesnt sound good - kind of like a sharp gasping/honking sound when you snap the throttle open. Anyway I retarded the timing some and it went away. So it must be some form of detonation.

Just as I feared

Which way do i turn the CAS to retard the timing? Thats probably it since the car wont idle so I cant set timing lol.
