tps fallout ?

ok here it is .... my car ,,, 88 se with intake and exhaust for mods .. and oe plugs with msd superconductor wires .. so nothing that realy makes a difference ... i do have an safc2 installed but the only correction i have made is at idle .... now ... i have this problum ... when accelerating weather its hard or soft acell ... at about 4 k ... my tps reading showes a massive drop off .. causing my engine to buck and run dramaticly lean for a breif second ...... thats my problum .. now my question is ...i just changed my clutch and had the battery fully disconected .... could the wackey tps reading at my safc 2 be due to the computer relears caused by the disconecting of the battery ... its actualy rather anoying because my af ratio gauge no longer works .. it lights up but does not give a reading anything other than the last red stick (lean) ... but that realy isnt important .. whats bothering me is that it just stared happining with no signs at all .. so yes any help / sudgestions would be great .. i hope its as easy as resetting the voltage range on my safc 2 thnx in advance

A bad TPS is a bad TPS regardless of if there is a SAFC in it.

so what u are saying is that the voltage falloffs are a result of a bad tps and its intermittance has nothing to do with the computer ?

which computer???

The factory ECM needs the TPS to be a smooth transition. If it drops out the factory ECU will cut fuel.

Is your TPS sticking? mine was sticking in due to the fact that it was gummed up. I sprayed some wd40 on it and some graphite grease on it, seems to be fine now(for a bit).

if you switch mounts and plugs, even a S5 one can be made to work, so yes a Turbo one will work, you will just have to swap the mounting plate.

I still say a series four turbo and series four non turbo tps are the same item with no changes to the bracketry at all.
