I think it depends on what year you have. In my 1990, I've got 4" speakers in the towers.. BUT.. it's held there by a metal mount that could be modified for a 6.5" speaker.

Soon, I'll be running 4 6.5" Infinity Ref. Speakers, 2 4" Infinity Refs, a KDC-V6017 CD head, and a 40W@x4 amp for the 6.5" speakers.

go with components..... they're worth it and they're worth amping... JBL,Infinity,Pioneer...in my case i have 4 inch under the dash speakers and 6 1/2 in the doors and 6 1/2 in the towers... but i dont use the dash speakers... just 4 6 1/2 mid ranges and 4 1 inch tweeters and it sounds wonderful..

That's good to hear ...

Don't put full range speakers in the rear. Just get a decent 6.5" mid-range driver. You only want your higher frequencies coming from the front stage, or it'll mess with your imaging.

And this topic should be in the Audio section, not the 2nd gen section.

Huh? Try to form complete, legible sentences ...

If you want to learn audio stuff, go into the audio forum. Not here.

Maybe for what sounds best to you..... :P Brand really doesn't matter. Listen to all the speakers before you buy, and pick the speakers that sound best to you.
