Angry Total Meltdown!!!!!!!!!!help!!!!

I AM TIRED OF ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS, DAMNIT!!
JUST ANSWER ME ALREADY!!!

O.K.
Here goes.
I - need - to - know - how - long - it - takes - to - do -the - TB Mod. But I am haveing a total meltdown with my car here and I can't find out what it is. Everyone tells me that if the main cat is glowing red that the cat is clogged. Well you know what geniuses, I have COMPLETE EXAUST FLOW!!!!!!!! Now, the cat glows red after about 5 minutes of running the car. no exaust overheat light comes on and ONLY the MAIN CAT is red. NOT the PRECAT OrR the after part of the exaust. JUST the MAIN CAT. If you go to the back of the car or just sit in the driver seat with the door open you can smell FRESH GAS. like you spilled it a couple feet from the car. HOWEVER!!! If you turn it on and let it IDLE back down to IDLE THE CAR DROPS TO STALL AND SHUTS OFF! I have to hold it a 1grand to keep the car running. I went to move it up the drive way yesterday and just about had a hissy fit! I was doing everything perfect and as soon as the clutch comes all the way out and stops THE CAR STALLS!! It did the same thing when my dad tried to move it and HE WAS A RACECAR DRIVER!!!!! Is this the ECU, Clogged Cat, vacuum leak, and injector problems, or one of them or any combination? Maybe I am missing some thing? I am ficked here guys. I am really stumped, and this has never happened before, I have always been able to fix it when I get under the hood. ALL GOOD advise is NEEDED, no really NEEDED. Please help! Thanks.
peace out,
Charles

I talked to some buddies of mine and they said that it seems that I could be putting fresh gas into the exaust and the gas is igniting in the cat and shooting both ways in it, but not far enough to see it out the back. But causing enough back pressure to shut the engine off. Is this plosible? Are they going nuts or something? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW!
peace out,
Charles

man you have a great way to get people to reply to you. disconnect the cat and see what happens. cats don't glow red unless they are clogged generally

hey guys yes I got out of hand but he started it by insulting me on MY thread so if he or any one else can't handle the heat get out of the fire. I Spaced the first question out like that so it will sink in nicely. I've asked the question many times before an I Have had no luck at finding out how long the mod takes besides "Its a good mod man you should do it." I need to know so I can plan for alternate transportation. AND if you could read buy at leaste a third grade level you would see the sarcasm and the tone shift to the implied appology into a serious I NEED HELP question. for gods sack people I am a junior in high school and people should think I would have an ego. If you say you didn't or don't then your just a liar. If you can help, help if not please don't post here.
thanks

A) I haven't done the TB mod, but I'm planning to one day. Can't help ya there. Yet.

B)
AND if you could read buy at leaste a third grade level you would see the sarcasm and the tone shift to the implied appology into a serious I NEED HELP question.
Use emoticons/smilies. A LOT of them. THEN people will know EXACTLY what your intended tone is. Otherwise, everything tends to get taken very literally and directly. I didn't catch your 'tone shift' either. I found your first post aggressive and annoying. I've never seen your previous requests for help about the TB mod, but your post read like you were trying to give me ****, anyway. 5'll getcha 10 that smilies/emoticons will nip that stuff right in the bud. That's what they're there for.

And jumping on RETed when you're looking for help (*especially* RETed - one of our gurus) was borderline retarded (should that be RETarded? ) at best, and a damn strange way to court help from the rest of us... At worst, RETed's reply looked like he was just teasing you (yes, even without smilies in it.) Time to ease up on the hair trigger and play along with the rest of us in the sandbox, ne?

RETed - am I forgiven yet for my own fumble earlier this week with the bleach/juice pic? Not that I posted this for brownie points...

O.K. I see the teasing in it if you take it that way but I've been a little edgy lately. My parents just poped it to me that they are getting a divorce and I've been alittle aggresive lately. Thanks for reminding me of the simlies and stuff. All the college implied writing and stylistic analysists that I've been doing in my AP English class have got my brain fried to higher thinking and no good use of colloquial diction. I love being 17 and writing that stuff better than most college freshmen though. Sorry for my out bursts and stuff, RETed has given me some great advice. I've had a REAL bad day. One of my friends rolled his truck and is paralyzed from the neck down. It might be temporary but it might not be. If its perminant and they take him off the ventilator his heart will stop. Again my appologies and if anyone talks to RETed let him know that. I really do need major help though. If I don't get my car running soon I will have to scrap it. I've never even driven it yet. Thanks.
reguards,
Charles

Alright, don't listen to Ted, for some reason I don't believe he knows anything about the rotary world besides these couple of words. "Duh, use search". Sorry Ted, you just don't have a heart, this kid is going through a divorce, the best thing you could do is help. However, I guess not a lot of people have any values out there. Anyway enough insulting. First how do you know you are getting the flow? I mean I can put my hand up to my exaust and feel plenty of flow. However, I damn well know that one or probably all of my cats are clogged cause my exaust smells like **** and I get loose of power. Anyway your best bet is to remove/gut those retarded cats. However, you cannot do this if you live in places where you have emission tests. Best bet is to get the damn thing inspected and bolt a RB Pipe or like me a Bonez RP. They work great however, they will be loud and maybe you can just go and turn on the car and drone out your parents fighting. If your cat is glowing, the best thing for you to do is take it off and replace it with something. You really need to try this before you do anything else. Good luck man on any of it and keep reading those manuals.

Murder she wrote.....this is one funny thread Unbolt your cat. Take the damn thing off. Then start your car. Does it smell like gas?

Now that you have your exhaust off and just a precat hanging off the turbo there should be a tube sticking down. It plugged into your cat (Split air pipe). Have some rev your engine (Cover your ears. IS there air being forced 0ut of this pipe? IF not that could be your problem and lead to a clogged up cat. Do you have your airpump still intact?

If not air comes out undo the hose that leads from the airbox to the airpump. Undo it at the airbox. Rev engine again...does air get sucked into the hose? If not you airpump maybe to blame.

TB Mod eh? ReTed has an amazing write up on his website. www.fc3s-pro.com.

Once you have your TB in your lap the write up makes sense. Just don't forget to label all those hoses or take pictures.

I would recomend that you fix your car and make sure it is running well before you do this. If you screw up the TB mod who knows what kind of problems that will compound with your current issues.

Maybe the TB mod can be a reward after you fix this problem.

Heres my findings for today,
Checked the air pump, works great. The engine dieing when I let it idle, gone. I just fired it up and forgot to have my foot ready to hit the gas to keep her alive and realized I had idle at about 1000. I can't unbolt my cat. The exaust comes off the engine, the pre cat bolts to that and then it is just welded all the way back until the mufflers bolt to it. Its the Y exaust set up, Stock. The gas smell? If you stand near the back of the car you can smell the unburned gas in the exaust, pretty well. Its very noticable. If you put your face anywhere near the exaust you will almost pass out. The emissions testing here in Austin are voluntary. Do you think my injectors could be pouring gass into the exaust or something?

seems that if the car used to start then shut off immediately AND you smell lots of gas in the exhaust that you're running a very rich mixture and both problems are probably related. check the plugs and see what they look like...

Man, I have no idea what you're talking about!

Gee, if this is going to turn into a sorry-for-your-*** thread, then maybe I should post my situation too...

I lost my job on 5/31/01 last year - that makes it almost a year I haven't had a job.&nbsp I am BROKE.&nbsp All my credit cards have all been cancelled.&nbsp I've defaulted on my cell phone bill last month - I have no money to pay for that.&nbsp They are more than likely going to turn it off within a week or so.&nbsp I've been looking for a job in Vegas for the past 6 months with no luck.&nbsp One of my friend's is keeping my *** under a roof until I find a job, and that's getting edgy cause it's been 6 months with no job!&nbsp The insurance is going to lapse on the cars.&nbsp I can't register my Hachi cause I can't come up with a measly $40 for the registration.&nbsp My websites are all going to get shutdown unless I come up with $30 in 3 weeks.&nbsp There is no end in sight unless I find a job NOW!
