torrington bearings can they make motor frize up?
my motor froze, i think it might be torrington bearings. i will check tomoroow while the motor is still in the car.
Can some1 explain to me why shaft play has to be within spec. I inderstand that 0 play is bad probably bearing not setiing correct. too much play means, bearings worn out? or needs bigger spacer?

yes, if the bearings are not setup properly then the motor may not spin or spin freely and the bearings could be damaged and lock up the motor.
too much free play means the spacer is too large or the bearings are severely worn, not enough free play means the front stack was not assembled properly or the spacer is too small in combination with new bearings which caused binding in the front stack.
more than likely the stack was assembled improperly though if you reused all the original bearings, washers and spacer.

I Never Checked The End Play When I Rebuilt My Motor 7 Month Ago, If It Is The Niddle Bearings Failare, Then I Think I Could Get Away With Fixing That Instead Of Breaking Down Whole Engine

It's not easy, but you can pull the front cover with the engine in the car.
4th gear & the hand brake will keep the shaft from turning.
To test the end play you can push the shaft back from the front, and push it forward with the clutch.

Even if it was the Torrington bearings, if the motor did seize while it was running (which it did), your bearings are fucked.
...at least the one in the front stat gear.
