torque specs. for flywheel

okay so i bought a light weight flywheel, and i need to know what the torque specs for the counterweight?

also i was wondering the torque specs for the engine mounts?

flywheel nut is 290-360ft lbs
counterweight is 290-360ft lbs as well

Thats what the haynes says on the begining of chapter 2A

Are you talking about the bolt on counterweight for an aftermarket lightweight flywheel? I think /thought, that is what your talking about, not the normal bigass nut that holds the stock flywheel on the eccentric shaft. http://www.mazdatrix.com/flywheel.htm

Torque it down to 5000 lbs... that is what the factory sets it too

yeah i had to use a 6 ft long torque wrench for my car, it was fun having 3 people torque the flywheen and hold the crank

It's 32 to 45 ft/lbs for the bolts that hold the counterweight on to your new lightweight flywheel.

I torqued mine to 150 ft/lbs and then used an air impact gun to tighten it 60º more.

I think what the man wanted, was the torque for installing a counterweight on a LIGHTWEIGHT flywheel, which does not come with a counterweight like the factory flywheel does. I don't think he is talking about the very large nut that holds the flywheel to the eccentric shaft.

But if he was talking about that nut, it's easy. Just get a socket.....a breakover bar....a metal pipe to fit over the breakover, and if you weight approx 150lbs.....stand on the extension two feet from the socket. You might want to bounce once or twice to make it harder for the next guy that removes the nut. Be sure to use Locktite on the threads. Weigh more than 150lbs? Go on a diet.

The counter wieghts spec is 32-45 ft lbs. This is for when you are bolting your flywheel to the counter weight with the 6 bolts.
