I got to 135 really quickly last night. I could have tried to top it out as there was a few miles of straight flat road ahead of me and it was 2 am. There was no one on the freeway with the exception of the Intergra that I just had pulled a few bus lengths on. Sanity got the best of me and I backed off at that speed. I really want to see what 155 is like, but I also like to live. It is getting scary at those speeds.

In a car any speed under 200mph is not scarey. Doing a wheelie at 186 over the start finish line at Texas World Speedway on a motorcycle is scarey.
Thank you.

Top speed is determined by a few factors mostly.

1. Power, more power, the faster you will go
2. Aerodynamics, makes the applied power get you farther
3. Gearing, helps you apply the power the best

Thats basically it. Weight alot more to do with acceleration than top speed.
More variables:
Ambient air temperature.
Altitude.
Barometric pressure.
Wind direction.
Tire pressure.

To get an accurate value, use a GPS receiver and average your speed in opposite directions.
