Thumbs up Top End

Just got done with a Bonzi run not to long ago, went out with my 88 GXL and my Technician (rx7doctor , who was also driving) and he let it rip... the car topped at 140 mph. The mods are as follows: Custom fabricated cold air intake, 1st gen header/presilencer combo, racing beat mufflers; working off my original engine.

Also head lamps were up, and there were two people in the car, so who knows how much higher it would of been

Thanks you, and no, the filter currently is sitting right beside the stock air intake scoop, were it would normally shoots it into the box with the stock filter, but the stock air intake box & filter is no longer there. Planning on relocating it though.

Better get that speedo checked amigo, your tire size is the only thing going that fast. With those mods and 4 people in the car the only way you would go that fast is downhill with a huge tailwind, lol rx7doctor

i agree that you should get your speedo checked. that would solve any confusion.

It's been proven over and over again that the FC speedo over 100mph grows increasingly off. Not that it matters, sucks the car didn't pop a tire at that moment though, would've done the world a favor.

I had a 90 GXL before i got my vert with a full racing beat exhaust, cold air intake, pulleys, light weight aluminum hood, and the light weight vert wheels. Even with all that, the fastest i could go was barely 140 and that was by myself.

There is a fine line between stupidity and fun, which you obviously never met. To begin with, hitting the shoulder gravel/grass at upwards of 100mph to pass cars is quite the 'opposite' of fun. Ruining fun.. It's funy you say that, considering hitting the grass at upwards of 100mph has about a 90% chance of either rolling and or spinning out, which would've either A) killed you and the passangers B) killed the people in the cars that you were passing or C) spun you out so you could act like the sadistic assfuck and be all 'did you see how cool that was!?'. Now, as for ruining fun, I'm sure it would've been just peachy and fun for the cars you passed to take an rx7 in the door at 100mph, I'm sure they wouldn't have minded. If you're looking for acceptance and for someone to think you're cool for posting a brag story for beating an eclipse you're definatly floating in the wrong area. To begin with, it's an eclipse... That's not something to brag about. Next, you quite blatantly described your ignorance for anyone around you and your passangers, which again, isn't going to impress anybody. So just what, might I ask, are you hoping to gain?

Good call^. If I could have hit 150 with an NA motor, it seems kinda supid to have spent the thousands I have on building a 400hp turbo one then huh.
