Took off my front actuator, need gasket.

Well, since I've just said my problem, I guess I'll ask more in depth. Do I have to buy a new gasket, or can I make one, and with what?

Nobody knows what kind of material to use for a gasket?

I use regular gasket material. Don't forget the hole for vacuum.

Hole for the vacuum? Is that the void in the middle?

What about temperature? Don't the actuators get a little warm? BUt I guess it won;t matter, since I'm doing a performance mod shortly.

Clean all the gasket material off both sides, then use a coat of RTV to seal it up. It works fine. Don't squeeze the stuff too hard, or you'll squeeze the RTV out and it won't make a good gasket.

But don't I risk getting the RTV in the intake holes of the actuator? Or just be more gentle around them?

Just be gentle around them.

It works fine, trust me.

Of course, I'm driving them from an air compressor, so it's *slightly* cooler, but not my much.

I'm going to use the smog pump, so it should be slightly cooler.

I'll take your word for it, I think I have some lying around aomewhere, actually.

Thanks
