ok, emmision time is very soon for my fc, so i put a cat on it and the split air pipe, i have the avc and egr and all the vacuum lines blocked, so i put the air pump on and run the output to the split air pipe, then just for shitts and giggles i hook the suck part into the main air inlet, so itz using metered air that goes thru the air flow meter, i turn the key and BAMMM, a nice smooth idle, now i know this prob aint the correct way to fix the idle but damm lol, it worked great for me, now somone suggested that my idle probs could have been a bad tps or air flow meter but me and my dad tested them today and they are in spec soooo, im just gonna keep my custom idle setup on hhaha, soo if u have really shitty idle after TB mod u may wanna try this even though it aint the correct way to fix the prob..

Thats the vid of my awseome smooth idle heheh

now for the pics

This is my cat in and the custom 3.5 inch "test pipe" so i can bolt the cat in

As you can see my custom hose from air inlet to the suck part of the air pump

Just a pic of the blow hose to the split air pipe

a pic of my new engine bay

and just a dead sex pic of the fc

if you have any ideas why this worked lemme know..

You!

I told you not to suggest this to people as a way and means for fixing idle It's not proper it's just a bandaid! Haha... Anyways, as I told you earlier my belief is that you were running too lean at idle and by taking away already metered air for the airpump you are merely richening up the mixture, that is my theory and understanding anyways.

So you checked the TPS for idle and WOT right? What were the readings on it? Have you ever adjusted the TPS before? I mean, after a lot of screwing with idle and modifications to the stock intake system causing idle rpm's to change, adjustments, etc, it's hard for the TPS to be dead on without any prior adjustment. Maybe you got lucky, though
