is too much a problem, and what is too much? i get around 40 when just at idle, at WOT it goes to about 100....from what i have heard it is supposed to be 30 at idle. should i even worry about this?

I wouldnt spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about it, the stock gauge isnt the pillar of accuracy.

 

yeah thats kinda what i figured i just wanted to make sure i didnt have anything big to worry about.

what you're getting isn't fine for stock, but for modified engines, and turbos it's what is supposed to happen. HOWEVER, the stock gauge Like a cheating girlfriend is a constant liar. I wouldn't trust her...eerrr I mean the gauge.

 

100 psi is quite alot for a stock regulator.
Are you sure that compression is ok, I have had a semistuck sideseal and therefore compression blow-by.

 

for all i know the car could be ported i guess...i mean i have never taken it apart, and the kid who sold it to me was trying to do some modding....i dont know...but im assuming its probably just my god damn cheating girlfriend...i mean gauge
