i was wondering around partstrader and i seem to have stumbled upon a too good to be true deal....

im assuming the entire assembly costs 500 bucks while the BRN stages costs 725 plus core.........so is this some sort of a scam?..

Good luck trying to get them to deliver promptly.
Check out http://www.cheapturbo.com/ - they are probably the best service out of the online discount turbo businesses.

I've heard some nasty stories about delivery times from Turbocalculator.

Most of the bargain turbos I've seen are not water cooled.

I"ve seen that add as well and tried to get a responce. The very top line says it is a hybrid "direct fit". This is on www.thepartstrader.com

you can find new Borg Warner TO4Bs for $375-$400 on ebay. i believe they're good for about 400hp (youd have to check, i'm not sure). the one i ordered came in a box with "Schwitzer" (another brand of BW) and the address "www.cheapturbo.com" as Ted listed.

I bought the bolt on turbo from Nelson Siverio. I talked to him on the phone a few times and had excellent service from him. It comes nicely packaged and I got mine in two days. I can get some pictures of it if you'd like, but it's all brand new components (less the stock FC turbine housing) it's all perfect, no shaft play etc and appears to be of excellent quality. It's a pretty tight fit under the LIM, but it works with proper adjustment. I disagree with Ted, I got mine shipped to me the next day which is the only possible thing, since I called at 5pm. Give Nelson a call, I reccomend him strongly from my experience.

ok so wait a minute do you have it running in your car now or no??? if not can you post the results after you have it in your car and tested??? Also are you the type that is going to get it tuned and dyno'd, if so I would love to see the hp gains. Oh yeah also witch one did you get off thepartstrader.com website because he has a couple there. Reted is this guy affiliated with turbo calculator or the other one you metioned??? Sorry for all the questions just looking for a cheaper sollution then bnr, even though bnr is tried and true I would like to see some sort of compatition when it comes to these hybrid turbo chargers.

I got a quote on the BW setup from a local turbo shop for $275 for the center section, and ~100 or so for the exhaust. Unfortunatly, they have been backordered since febuary
