I have my ways It wasnt running when I got it. We hooked it up to a Honda Civic (driven by Theo (Pele on the Forum)) and drove around in circles in my friend's yard. We left the TII in first gear. I was in the TII and held down the throttle. After about a mile, I started to hear the turbo spooling. After a bit longer, I noticed I was catching up to the Civic. Soon, it was running fine and even idling It was fun! Got great compression and boosts hard with no leaks.

 

Hey tofuball your not too far from me i might have to get you to check out my turbo 6 port project. Anyway i'd go with the hybrid even if you could get everything to work like it should it's be sooooo much more work and no real advantage beside maybe a little more low end

 

Well, as I said, I dont mind work. Custom fabbing stuff is what I love about cars. The end result is nice, but getting there is half the fun! I'd love to check out your project, bring it by the garage sometime :d

But yeh, I'm definitely going with the Hybrid, at least on this project.

So how about running the turbos non-sequetial?

 

If your going to go through the trouble of going non-sequential.. minus well go single.. no reason to have the added weight.

 

BS. Assuming similar shaft bearings, parallel twins will always spool faster than a single that can make as much power.

 

Unfortunately, I don't think this fixes the problem of the turbos being craptastic...
