to4b with stock ports, safe?????

ok, ive been thinking this for a while and im gonna take a shot to see how it goes, i want to run 14psi with my stock internal engine, you know ports etc. im gonna run a hybrid, to4b frontside and stock exhaust compressor. my mods for doing these are, rb turbo back, walbro 255 fp, apex safc2, turbosmart bov, turbosmart boost controller, 850cc secondary injectors, fmic, tid mod. i just want to know if i would be fine at 14 psi, i really don't want my engine to get hurt. it has way to good compression to just brake it. im an 18 year old kid, and ive been in the rotaries since 15, ive worked a lot to do this to my car and really respect this car and don't want to brake it.

thanks

Ive personally ran my motor at 17 PSI, for a 350 wheel dyno with no problems. The only problem you might encounter is the limitations of that stock ECU.

Well, the best idea is to use a fuel computer, such as the one here:

http://www.injector.com/injectorsele...0084dcdf88f9db

Roughly 2600 CC of flow needed for 300 wheel, and 2x550s and 2x8590s is about 2800.

I ran those numbers at a BSFC of about .65 and a max IDC of about 80%, so thats a bit optimistic of a number. The best thing is to go ahead and run the 850s, but keep tabs on the AFRs, and IDCs of you can.

I still believe that until you get on the Microtech, or another standalone, 300 is kind of risky. I am sure its been done, but I wouldnt do it.

I had a bnr stage 3 at 15psi running with 550's and 890's and an rtek 1.7 chip and I was fine with the stock ecu. I didn't have dyno numbers but I"m sure I was pretty damn close to 300 if not a bit more.

You should definitely get a standalone. Install it at the same time that you install your new turbo, otherwise if you get careless once you're likely to hurt your motor. For fuel at 14psi on stock ports w/ a T04B, I'd have to say you should go with upgraded injectors all around. At the least swap out your 850s for some 1300s, or buy some 850s for primaries.

You can never be too safe with fuel (unless you're dumb and drop 1600s in for primaries), it's always your best bet to have a little more fuel than you need for your goals. Also, SAFC-IIs are not good for tuning boost, generally speaking you can only have either your in-boost performance mapped well or your off-boost performance mapped well. Standalone is the way to go, and it's best not to tread in dangerous waters. You COULD do it with an R-tek and an SAFC if you're really on a budget, but if you want your car to run the best you've gotta go with standalone.

Point here:

Any competent EMS should be able to handle 1600s in the SECONDARY position.

i was just hoping that i could get to 300 with my safc. with the secondary injectors i can go 1000cc because i haven't bought them yet because i want to make sure i buy the right things so i don't have to regret anything. ohhh well, guess i should keep the boost down at 11 psi till i get a standalone.

thanks
