Question TMIC - JDM vs ASPEC

I have heard there are differences. This is what I have gathered from searching.

1. JDM - There is no brazed on pipe on the back for the AWS.

2. JDM - Core is bigger.

Question. How much bigger?

Ive compared the two cores side by side and ive seen absolutely no difference other then the plate. The core & inlets were the same size on my S4 jdm & usdm i/c's.

Other than the label (see my avatar), there is absolutely no difference between US-spec and J-spec intercoolers.

There are differences between the S4 and S5 intercoolers. The S5 flows ~10% better due to slightly larger internal passages.

Yeah, the core difference is not true. There is differences in the # of fittings on the rear corner of the IC due to bypass solenoids. All US-spec IC's come with two fittings - the J-Spec ones either come with just one or NONE of those fittings.
