tips please!
I am looking to purchase a 91 FC3S in the next week {already found just need ot drive out and look at it} and I'm wanting some tips on what to look for and wether or n ot I should try to talk him down... It has everything but, the engine does not run and the interior is degraded. He is asking $1100 for it. Should I talk him down? If so how much? Also is there any chassis modifications I hafta do to fit a 20b in? or is it just that I gotta have the custom parts for it? Anyway nice to be here!!! Vroom Vroom!

do LOTS of searching, it helps from being flamed
1100, if the outside is really really clean... talk him down. if his asking price is 1100, and he dosnt say "FIRM" in his ad...id aim for 850, 900. But, then-again im a lowballer.

Ironically for now it's just hear-say from a friend I havent even looked at it cuz it's outta town. He says it doesn't have the t2 hood and it's pearl white. I'm gonna find out if the body is clean or not and if there are any dents. I'm wanting to aim for the 700 range if possible. I dont care about the condition I just want the best price for the fixer upper cuz I plan on racing it.

if you have to lowball $1100, then you won't be putting a 3 rotor in. The time, skill, and $$$ alone is enough to justify saying screw this and buying an R1 FD. If you're racing it, take it for anything you can get it for, even if it is ugly, and then buy another one and use the best parts from both cars to make 1 really nice one. Remember, when it comes to racing, it's "Go BEFORE Show."
