i also wonder what that nipple is for... im putting my car back together and i dunno where that like is supposed to go. i planned on putting a little vac cap and wire tie on it.
i did block everything off.... all of it. nothing left.

That nipple is supposed to help with fuel atomization with the injectors. Run a line from there up to one of the vac nipples on the UIM.
I hope you are running premix with the oil injectors capped off.

Yep, there are four injectors, they all have two lines each that goto them. One line connects via a banjo bolt for the oil, the other line is for the top nipple you see there in the pick. Its been debated as to what the nipple is for, and im positive that it is NOT for fuel atomization.
The middle nipple is for fuel atomization, and it will attach to a nipple on your plenum, wich has an air feed, I *believe* that is after the throttle plates? I can't remember.

I have not missed a premix fill ever. It IS possible to know that the OMP has been removed and at the same time never know what the oil injectors look like. For not thinking before you speak Decay, you should slap yourself
Anyway ...for those of you with intelligent responses, thanks.
Can I just cap the oil injectors off with normal rubber nipple caps and remove that orange junk? - the injectors originally had a single vacuum line connected the two in the shape of a "U" (but upside down obviously). I'm not too proud of the way the previous owner put this engine back together. Though the builder is on this forum and is from Atlanta (his name has "bad" or "***" in it or something. he builds and races 4 rotors? 3 rotors? idk ...trying to figure out who it is.)
As for that middle nipple ...I think I will just hook it up into the vacuum system unless it CAN be capped.

The previous owner seems to have disconnected the oil injector lines from the injectors. So you should be mixing oil with your gas. The other two oil injectors should be on each rotor housing about three inches from the two oil injectors in your picture, but one located a bit further fwd on the engine and the other located a bit aft on the engine.
If a person had gone and decided to mix oil and gas and disable the omp, then then it seems to me all a person has to do to the oil injectors is cap off the air line to each and the oil line to each. RTV is as good as anything. I see no advantage to installing a bolt in place of the oil injectors.
There should be a oil metering pump bolted with two nuts on the bottom, right of the front cover. There should have been a metal rod attached to it, the omp, and the other end of the rod going to the throttle linkage. Got any of that?
This engine is a prime example of how a engine is not going to burn up, lock up in just a few miles without a oil metering pump or oil mixed in the gas. IT IS getting the Accelerated Wear Treatment though. Big Time.

so what is the drawback of having the air bleed blocked off? when i put my LIM on i covered the vaccume holes at that joint with the gasket and orange gasket maker. So will the air bleed still work like that?
what will be the problem with running it capped?
if i have to do it im gonna have to pull the LIM again.. no fun. i used a good amount of gasket maker so the gasket is gonna rip off i bet. yay.

Go for one of the top two. They lead to the front of the throttle plates, hence no vacuum.

Regarding the second fitting. The orange goop is in the air line. Their should also be a banjo bolt type fitting near the base of each injector with a barb for a small clear plastic oil line running up from the OMP on the lower front part of your motor. Those fittings are probably still on your injectors.

I apologize for being a little vague with my first comment. Someone please correct if this isn't quite right, as I'm still learning too.
The left circled nipple is for the fuel atomization. This needs to go up to one of the upper nipples on the firewall side of the UIM. The left one is already capped, and is where the OMP injectors get their air source IIRC. The other two injectors seem to have been removed already and plugged with two bolts (arrows).

When I said what I said, I was refering to the air feed nipples that are pluged with the red **** ontop of the oil injectors. Those goto whats called a 'vacuum spider' it just connects all four of your oil injector air feeds into one single vacuum hose, wich connects to your plenum. The right nipple on the plenum is the one in the row of 3, either on the back or the front, you can tell its the right one becuase it is larger than the other ones. I think what this air feed does is help the oil flow through the injector better, kind of like when you dump pop out of a bottle upside down. The pop will flow out alot better if there is a hole punched through the top.
bla bla bla, this doesnt' matter cause your running premix

Although that does make sense, there isn't a nipple to equalize pressure for the injectors that jdmsuper7 says are bolted in the edited pic he posted. And it's soda!!!

I looked again at the picture in your first post. It appears that the previous owner removed those barbed fittings, and tried to guard against leakage by using red RTV. He would also have had to seal the oil orifice in the injectors, if that was what he did. That's kind of a hacker's way of getting rid of the metered oil system, but it'll do.
Since you're already pre-mixing, you should be ok with things just as they are. However, as someone already mentioned, it would be a lot neater job, and you'll be ensured of a better seal if you remove the 4 injectors and replace them with proper length bolts. By proper length, I mean the same length as the threaded portion of the injectors. If you do so, be sure to use copper crush washers to get a good seal.

HOWEVER..... Your the butnugget who posted a pic of OMI's talking like they were an alien growth on his car, and didn't bother to mention to anybody that you were premixing the fuel...
I thought it was funny as hell that there was a "car is for sale" sign at the bottom of the picture... I STILL do!!!!!!
So you obviously bought the car from someone who at least told you that you needed to pre-mix the fuel.... Kudos to you for buying it anyway.. most people would have been like.. WHAT?????? This aint no dirt bike!!!!!
YOU need to go find THAT guy and slap HIM for doing a half assed job of switching the car to pre-mix!!!!!!! Shoving RTV down in the holes.. Yeesh.

******You mind elaborating on that? Oil injectors are blocked off and I am running premix. I don't see how you can make that assumption by the picture?************
I assumed anybody mixing oil in their gas would know what a oil injector looked like. I made a bad assumption.

*******I only see one line in the picture, which is directly on the top of the injectors, where that orange stuff is.************
The banjo fitting on the two in the picture are missing.
