Tinted windows="cooler" in car temps?

We get to tint them here in PR up to 35% darker than that and U R FK'D... But yes, tinted windows lower the inside temp.

Don't forget after getting them tinted you have to have the windows up for something like 2-3 days. (atleast thats what I was told when I had mine done) That could be a very big pain if you didn't have ac unless you planned on not drving for a couple days.

How do you know what percent tint you have? All I know is mine isn't legal. It is the pic in my avatar. Anyone have any guesses?

The "professional" tints have them written on the boxes.&nbsp In Hawaii, we've got "tint meters" that can give you a number - this is required of all vehicles that have to go through an annual "safety check".
