The correct way is to do the insides but that's a PITA.

I am going to sand down the outside a bit and then spray a Clear coat with some bacl mixed in.

It's mainly clear but you add more black for the darker you want.

The cheap and bad way to do it is to get some krylon paint or something.

So pretty much.

- few ounces of clear.
-like a 3rd or less of Black paint
-Sand paper Probably 800/1000/1200/and higher maybe.

You can get some Testor's model paint that is for tinting at hobby shops, just be sure to clearcoat over it or itll start comin off eventually.

How hard is it to get the model **** not to be runny? Back when I played with RC touring cars (still have one - civic body on it oh well its actually fast ) me and my buddy (who is awesome at painting type things he really has skill) couldnt get the tint spray paint (for lexan) not to be runny or have specks no matter how much we messed with it! I would hate to **** up tail lights! Got any pics? Thanks !

I just did mine. took about an hour and I love it. I have pics but can't get them to work. anyways I just cleaned them very well then used glossy black paint TAKE YOUR TIME paint very slowly and I only did one coating then use some type of clear coat to keep it from coming off and there you go. my car is silver and my wheels are black with polished lip so it's looks very sweet on my car but I tryed puting one of the lights on my dark red gxl and it was not all that great so make sure it'll look good with your color and if it doesn't you should be able to sand the paint off easily. been thinking about doing that, but they actually sell stuff designed for tinting taillights. can't remember the name, but it works really well (saw it in action on an M5)
