timing help, need pic

I need a pic of a stock eccentric shaft pulley because I only have 1 timing mark and I need to see the other timing mark(the red one). Can someone please take a pic for me?

dont have a pic but its about 1/3 of an inch away from the yellow one and the lines are indented so you should still be able to feel it

Measure the diameter of your pulley. Remember that pie are still square and divide the result by 360. That'll give you one degree then multiply by how meny degrees.

The problem is........you've no idea which mark your presently looking at.

There is/are unconventional ways to find TDC without removing the pulley or front hub nor looking at where the eccentric shaft keyway is.

You get in the ballpark by looking in a empty LEAD sparkplug hole with a mirror and flashlight while turnning the pulley by hand. You'll see the apex seal pass by. Turn the pulley a little further and stop.

Find a fitting (like off a compression tester) that will screw into the lower spark plug hole. Leave the upper hole empty. Run a CLEAR neoprene hose from the fitting you installed for about a foot from the fitting and hold it above the sparkplug holes.

Now get a squirt can of motor oil. Squirt into the hose and let the hose and rotor chamber fill up til oil comes out the top sparkplug hole. Install the top sparkplug.

With the hose almost full, rotate the eccentric shaft slightly back and forth while watching the fluid in the CLEAR hose. The fluid will go up as you rotate the pulley ......then start on a downward plunge. The crossing point b/t going UP and then going Down is TDC.

I did this for something to do (fun) and it works. I first did it on a spare engine on the garage floor and I consistenly got TDC (using a first gen pulley on the shaft. Its mark IS at TDC unlike s4/S5). I'd turn the pulley back and forth numerous times and when I saw the crossing point, THEN I'd look at the pointer. TDC each time.

In your case, you have one mark. That should be close to TDC, so I'd start with the pulley at that hash mark. You only have to move the pulley back/forth about a inch or so to do this. NOT turn the pulley any half turn etc. Only a inch first one way the the other while watching the fluid in the hose.
