Time sensitive turbo swap questions

hokay. working on a turbo swap for my ricer rescue(don't ask).

i have the engine:

i just bought a srt4 oem intercooler that i'm going to bodge in. that brings us to my questions: hoses, blow off valves and boost controllers.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX7-R...40931207QQrdZ1
is ^that^ a decent deal? the local speed shops are talking to their vendors and one idiot thinks i'm going to let him do custom work. frankly i'd rather buy the *right* parts and suffer the blood, sweat, and tears to do it myself.

If those aren't the right parts could someone point me in the right direction?

looks as good as your going to get for 149.99 but it now. should work fine until the ebay parts started to well prove why they are sold on ebay and not speed shops. And im betting thats not a real greddy type-s becouse they go for $150 alone.

Do you know how to weld? Get whatever blow off valve you want really they will all do the job on a moderate engine. It will be about 100$ for silicone hoses don’t skimp they will just blow off, about 60$ for V-clamps or T-clamps don’t skimp or they may blow off.

Your gona have to be able to weld somewhat to install a FMIC on your own. Can you weld aluminum is the big thing. I haven’t seen an ebay piping kit with a good fairest of metals making it near impossible to weld.

i haven't found anything different from any of the vendors. of course the ebayers could be blowing smoke with their 3-ply sillicon hoses. i'm kinda curious how you knock off a ssqv.

That kit should be fine for moderator use, i'd buy some heat wrap and wrap the tubing.
How much boost are you going for?

Does anywhere other than ebay have just the intercooler piping so someone could just buy a intercooler and not have alot of fabing to do?

Not alot of fabing dont exsist on a FMIC unless you buy a pre fabed kit.

heat wrap for the hot side or the cool side? and why?

well, i'm staying stock turbo for a while. going to get some electronics before i crank the boost too high. i'm a big fan of reliability. megasquirt, HKS EBC maybe. ultimately i'm looking to get maybe 300-350hp out of it. right now i'll be happy with the factory spec 205 although it would be nice to put that to the wheels. if i find that my equipment can handle it i might run more.
