its the sensor that is connected to the BAC .on top of the UIM right underneath the TMIC.
as for the white harness. its about 1 inch away from the the Alt plug. and it dones look like the CAS harness .. any other guesses?

pictures are always helpful. Do you have a digital camera? If not, I have 3. I'll sell you the cheap one for $25 shipped. Comes with software and USB cable.

Sounds like you broke one of the acv plug wires..common. Just tape it off.

As I said earlier, that is the Air Bypass Solenoid. The last picture. I also know what the white plug is for.
The white plug is for either the port air solenoid or the Split Air Solenoid. Neither of which is installed on your car according to one of your above posts.
You can remove the Air Bypas Solenoid. It only works at startup for 17 seconds in conjunction with the bac to give the approx 3000 rpm on start up. That is the ONLY time it is used, and most of them already have their two wires broken off after fifteen years or so.

No it is NOT. It is the Air Bypass Solenoid Valve. The item on a series four that responds to steering inputs is the AIR SUPPLY VALVE located on the back of the intake manifold. That is what the second small hose on the intercooler is for.
There is a free, online, Factory Service Manual available and ready for downloading. It has graphics and words to go with them. It's in the FUEL SECTION.
