TII Transmission Time Machine........?

I just received this the other day. This is a 1991 TII transmission with less than 1k original miles......no ****. Look at it. This thing has not been washed or cleaned in any way. You can tell looking at it in person. I paid $550.00 for it. Corksport hooked me up with a new light flywheel and clutch. I will be putting it in the GTUs by the end of the month. Thought some of you might appreciate it.

The story is and I have no reason to doubt it, is that this was the transmission in a 1991 TII IMSA show car. The car was pulled off the factory line and the interior was removed and the sheet metal was replaced with IMSA sheet metal. So the car toured around the country and the only driving it got was basically on and off the trailer. Everything has long since been sold off of the car and this was all that was left. I asked about the body and one day one guy said it was there and the next day another guy said, in a very strange tone, that it was not and just forget about, it's gone. Anyway, I imagine Mazda Corp sold this car to this salvage yard and said that it could never be sold to the public. The car was never titled anyway. Man would I love to buy that freakin body.
