tii tranny Q???
Only difference is the tranny bracket...bolts right in with the right bracket (if youre putting an S4 tranny, you need the bracket from that and so on).
Everything is identical except the fifth gear. S4 is slightly higher...better torque for freeway...very little difference. We're talking 300-500rpm difference if that (just throwing a figure out there).

i don't know how much difference the brackets will be considering that it will be going into a first gen, behind a third gen motor... (:
so, if i were to get the s4 tranny over the s5 tranny, the only advantage would be a taller fifth gear??

i did a turbo tranny swap on my old 1st gen and i had a S4 one and all i did is get a 1/2 inch spacer and drill the holes on the 1st gen tranny mount and it whent like it came with it. i dont knowwith the S5 tranny i heard that you have to do similar but theres a difference. you should check the 1 gen frorum about it
i posted on the second gen forum to figure out the differences in the two tii (s4,s5) trannies.. i figured that either way i would have to do some fab work... if there isn't any big advantage to running one versis the other, then i will take what i can get... thanks to all that have responded...!! any other comments are welcome... someone might know something that the rest of us don't...
