TII swap into S5 NA...not your typical problem

Well I swapped a S5 TII block and manifold into my S5 NA using my NA drivetrain. The catch is that I'm going to keep it NA for now so I can drive it around. I'm still waiting on some parts and I have to put some connectors back on the TII harness, so I'm using my stock NA ECU and harness. I can get the motor to turn over, but not fire. I'm gettin spark and I'm definately getting fuel. Everything was in working order when I pulled my NA motor and the TII motor was running before, but on a Haltech. What I was wondering is what are the bare minimum of sensors and connectors needed to have the motor run? Another question, would the timing differences between the NA motor and TII motor prevent the motor from starting?

did you pull the CAS out when you did the swap? if so try restabbing it in case you got it in there wrong. the timing differences are only a few degrees and should not affect starting or running much. if you have spark and fuel and the engine ran recently then i would assume it is just being difficult and flooded itself just to annoy you.

try the normal s5 unflood procedure by holding your foot to the floor to clear it out then let off after a few cranking cycles and try to start it, if it still won't catch then try some ATF in each leading plug hole to rebuild compression then try and fire it. if all else fails you can try to push start it.

but if you have the basics, fuel compression and spark then it should fire up.

The motor has the TII CAS inside. What I was just thinking about is that the TII CAS and the NA CAS is calibrated differently. Should I try putting in the NA CAS? Also, are the TII sensors calibrated the same as the NA sensors?
