im thinkin about pickin up a 88rx7 with a 89 turbo 2 motor just droped in with only 5k on it...the only problem is the car will start then die imediately...he says its the ECU cuz when he hooks up his friends EMS it runs perfectly...so my question to you guys is...."is the ECU bad and i could just get another TII ECU?? or is there something else wrong and i would have to buy and EMS system...What EMS system would u advise if thats the case?? The one he tried in the car was the Microtech Lt8....

bump...someone has to know what the problem is

 

make sure the AFM is plugged in and not too sure but I think it may require the AFM from that year. the car will run with the EMS because it replaces the AFM with a map

Thats what I would have suggested.

 

Ive talked to the guy, and he says hes using the N/A ECU...i dont think thats right..unless he meant the T2 ECU....Ill check with him bout the AMF setup...thanks
