TII not idling right

Okay, before anyone says anything, I have searched for a few days while trying to get this fixed.

The car starts up and holds at about 700 or 800 rpm for a few seconds and then dies if I don't keep it alive. Then once it warms up it idles at about 700 to 1000 and it runs fine after that. When I beat it and run it past about 5k then it idles at about 1500.

It also is only running about 5 or 6 psi, which doesn't make any sense because I have full 3" exhaust. One more thing, it sounds like the exhaust is coming out of the turbo ....it sounds alot like a lawnmower, which I think is the way that it's supposed to sound...but if not someone please alert me.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to give a good bit of information so that you guys can help me correctly.

check idle valve on intake manifold. check wastegate actuator with vacuum pump see how it moves, probably it's remaining open causing turbo not boost.

i just got my T2 to start today. does the same thing. Stumbles at those rpms and then dies. Did all the deflooding and still does the same. Its almost sounds like a car that would be running on 2 cyl. Although i did see some vac lines not pluged. Have not had a chance to drive.

So last night it was only running like 3psi... I'm guessing that the wastegate is stuck open, or the housing on the turbo is cracked.

My question is: would an exhaust leak also cause this, or was I right to guess that the wastegate is stuck?

I've also noticed that it bucks if I let off the gas in any gear, and then bucks again when I get back on the gas. It does this no matter how smooth I ease into the pedal.
