TII <--> NA gauge cluster swap?
TII <--> NA gauge cluster swap?
I'm just sitting here thinking of what a waste of space the boost gauge becomes once you sit a FCD in your car. At that point, you're forced to get an aftermarket boost gauge and the stock one becomes useless. Is it possible to swap to a NA cluster (the voltmeter gauge will come in handy)? I'll probably have to rig some kind of wire signal to the gauge tho, huh?
Anyone try this yet?

I have gone from an S4 turbo cluster to a S5 NA cluster and it was not too bad. You just need to re-wire the ends of the harness' that plug into the rear of the cluster. Run a search for gauge swap, instrument cluster swap, etc. and you should find the information that you need. It would probably be good to get the wiring diagrams for the S4 and S5 clusters just for good measure.
Hey Kevin,
I kept the GTUs cluster during the turbo swap for the infini car, volt gauge works fine. 9,000 rpm tach is nice too although I can't use it yet.
Go for it, shouldn't be difficult at all.

I swapped my 87 TII gauge cluster for a 88 N/A....I just replaced the n/a speedometer for my one so the milage was correct. You just need the wire harness from the n/a cluster and it's a simple plug and play. I find the volt meter some what useful........then I got my apexi turbo timer and now I have a digital volt meter which is nice too.
