VA TII LIM differences

i kno the differences like no egr on j specs, no secondary injector air bleeds on s4's, no cold start assist on s5's, et,etc. what i need to know is, are all turbo LIMs, regardless of jspec or USDM, S4 or S5, interchangeable as far as bolting to the any turbo UIM or TII block. in essence, if i have an s4 US TII block and s4 US TII UIM, would a Jspec S5 LIM bolt in place without modification? the same for every combination? thanks.

o and i did search, came up with results about fd UIMs, na UIM swaps, and compatibility between US and Jspec, not between series

thanks again

pretty sure the series needs to match between uim/lim. you should be able to mix/match jdm uim/lim as long as its the same series. i am using s5 intakes on my s4 block. you could probably do the opposite.

thats what i'm afraid of. i just got an LIM and its an s5 (i have an s4). i had always thought that they were interchangable, but the two outer bolts are just a hair off (1/4"). im thinking about just slotting the holes cuz the ports seem to line up perfectly/are the same size.

anyone else have any concrete proof if they are interchangable or why extending these holes would be bad (assumming the ports do match, i would double check before goin threw with it)?

thanks for the quick reply 87 t-66

if the ports line up there should be no problem with make the hole a slot to line up. it won't hurt the integrity of it as long as its not much like a 1/4 inch like you said. and you can even throw a washer under the nut to make yourself feel safer.

nevermind, i just got my lazy *** outta bed to check (i would never have fallen asleep had i not). the port spacing is the same, but the port sizing is not (1/8" difference). futhermore, i was right about the bolts. the inner two line up great, but the outer 2 are each out an extra 1/8", equaling a total of 1/4" difference in the total length at the longest point. i guess its port match time.......dammit....dammit all... thanks again man
