TII hood+functionality opinions

Just curious for you TII owners, but I have some questions.

With the vented hood, how bad does your engine bay get corroded with all that water and **** going in there during the rain? Do you ever notice steam coming out when its raining?
Im just seeing all these blinged out engine bays nice and shiny with TII hoods and they aren't corroded at all. How do you do it?

Kind of retarded questions, but im bored as hell right now.

the scoop brings air to the intercooler. not across the whole engine bay, and theres a seal on the bottom of the hood that seals against the top of the intercooler.

I know that.

...

What im trying to say is after the air or water (raining) passes the intercooler it will get all over the intake manifolds and block, does it not?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the TII scoop sit too far back to have water rammed back into it when you're driving in the rain? The little that would get in there off the hood probably just evaporates quickly and shouldn't harm much since the IC and a good chunk of the upper intake stuff is aluminum.

The worse I've seen is a bunch of leaves that got blown in there and no one bothered to clean it out.

I drive in the rain a lot (daily driver) and I've never noticed evidence of water getting into the engine bay. I'm sure some does, but water does not last long on a hot engine. I've never seen any steam either, probably because when you're moving air is being pushed into the scoop so steam could not get out, and when you're stationary the slope of the hood causes any water to run away from the scoop, not into it.

In short, it's a non-issue.

what I noticed about the inercooler is that the heat shield on the bottom is shapped so that any water getting in there is channeled off to the side where it dosnt really come in contact with the engine, like a gutter. at least it looks that way to me.

Non issue even with the TMIC gone. When you open the hood after rain is when you get water into the engine bay haha.
