Question Protecting FMIC?

Seeing how fragile the fins are on the FMIC I was wondering if you guys put anything in front of the FMIC to protect it from rocks and bugs?

Don't want something so thick it hurts airflow. Just enough to keep the big stuff out of there.

Searched for FMIC & screen and FMIC & protecting.... could not get anything good from it.

The only thing I can think of is a screan comonly seen on ricer cars. IMO they are ugly. What I do is when washing the car take a pair of twesers and bend each fin that is bent from bugs "no rocks yet" back to position.

Seems like some nice stuff...

I did search for FMIC and rocks and turned some good stuff up. I think Ace hardware has some sort of mesh....

I don't have a FMIC yet, but I cut out the stock grille and replaced it with mesh.

There's always the option of placing the FMIC where it can't be damaged by rocks:

Nice! I was thinking a staple gun or something and then bending the staples with a pair of pliers afterwards.

I did some serious torch cutting to get that thing in there, it is a 24x8x2.7in hybrid tube/fin bar/plate core from some guy in washington who sells them on ebay.
