TII Engine Questions, not as dumb as u think.

I found a TII Engine with a blown coolant seal, and it's being sold for 250... this "motor" as he calls it was re-manufactured by mazda in florida, and this person is located in the bay in california. he's selling other parts for cheap too. i'm thinking it was stolen or something... cause last time i saw a TII motor that was running was giong for 1800 with bunch of other parts. a blown coolant seal gonna drop the price over 1k?

Does mazda re-manufacture engines? if so how much?

and real quick. can u put a TII motor with an FD 6sd tranny?

Well it is blown motor, I seen a blown N/A motor going for $100 once. Yes mazda do sell re-man (re-manufacture) motors.

Do you what a blown coolant seal can do?

well i don't exactly know where the blown coolant seal is. plus if there's no actual damage to the engine, then i could prolly just replace it. and it's a turbo engine. how much are mazda re-man engines ? TII specifically xD

What wrong with the term "motor"?

And a blown coolant seal means you'll have to rebuild the engine.

Somehow I doubt he was referring to an uber expensive HKS 6spd dogbox.

Come on, he's talking about buying a blown TII for 200 bux.

Ouuuchh, that hurts.

As far as a 6 speed FD tranny..uhh, the only stock 6 speed i know of is in the RX-8, and I'm 90% sure that doesn't bolt up without some modifications.

he's selling a dead motor for $250.

Anytime you buy a used motor you should assume you are going to have to rebuild it. If the motor turns out to be decent than you can spend the money on something else besides a rebuild but I wouldn't bet on it. Especially for $250.

uh that "motor" you are talking about must be someones old motor. by any chance does that motor have like 10k miles on it? if it is, i was thinking about picking up that whole setup but i was warned that that motor might've been pretty effed up to be blown THAT quickly. (within MONTHS of owning that car) =( what a waste.

That's likely caused by the engine sitting out in the rain in a car with no hood, and just the LIM attached: the same way you always see tham at the wrecker's.
