TII engine install
im droping in a new engine the TII has 82000 k on it and its a 88 im planning on putting in new engine mounts but im not sure what else should be done while i have the engine out what would you guys do?
and what is the difference in racing mounts vs. stock
is it worth it and what mounts do you recommend

Racing = stiffer.
Change all of the gaskets if possible. Whenever I have my engine out I make sure to do everything possible because it is a whole lot easier when it is out of the car.

I just noticed you are in Minnesota
Anyway, people seem to like the racing motor mounts because they transmit the power a little better but they will also trasmit the vibration into the cockpit more. The mounts are only the rubber foot part so make sure you have the other two pieces.
For $40 I would buy those because I can't imagine the stock ones are much cheaper.

Clutch, flywheel, gaskets, oil pan sealant if leaking, spark plugs, vacuum hoses. Basically anything you thin kwould be easier with the engine out.

get the rad and oil cooler flushed. change all rad and heater hoses. fuel lines probably and fuel filter. vac lines, all the tune up stuff. if you have spare money you could change the oil cooler lines.
