I'm looking at buying a TII from a guy who has supposedly had a new rebuild. Here is his ad and a link to pictures under the hood. Let me know if this sounds worth the money. I am needing a new motor is why and a spare parts car would be nice as well.

The ad: this street ported turbo II has only 5 hrs of run in time .built with twin turbo seal springs.. it has big t60 series turbo upgrade. with turbonetics wastegate, hks ext. manifold. full racing beat twin pipe exhaust.haltech engine management computer with big 850cc and 1600 cc injectors .two bosch 400 hp fuel pumps -10(1/2 inch) an stainless steel fuel lines and fittings. big fuel rails. sx fuel regulator with guage.front mount intercooler with hks blow off valve.manual boost controller.egt and boost guages..two msd 6 ignitions (not even installed yet)all turbo clamps are turbonetics T bolt design.newly refreshed 5 sp tranny.brand new ACT clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing.. brand new racing beat suspension (shocks & springs) right around.brand new racing hart C2's 8" front 9"rear on brand new 40 series tyres. the haltech has not even been tuned yet. but car starts and runs on base program.everything now needs to be cleaned up..

texax.......damn....

just say this, all tha thing that car owner did, is what everyone wants to do to their cars and that's alot cheaper than buying everything one by one.

What you are looking at is an amazing deal. The guy selling it realizes he will NEVER get back what he put into it. And now you have your self an amazing oprotunity to get this car and go fast goodies cheap. Assuming this stuff is in good shape and the person doing the work has a clue you have stumbled on an amazing chance.

I would say take it and run like hell with a big smile on your face!

Just make sure you know why this guy is selling. It is on the cusp of being TO GOOD TO BE TRUE! Try to find the shop that did the wrench time and find out about this car.

Aye, sounds to good to be true. But you never know. I'm gonna go check it out on Tuesday and see how easy it starts and well it sounds.

Is it true you want to break in the motor a little before having the haltech tuned? Would it not be good to drive it very far intill the final tuning was done?

Good luck with it. Yes, a break in would be good. 1000 miles below 4000rpm and no boost. You should let him drive it. See how he treats her.

it's not even registered. Makes me wonder why though. This guy sounds like a foreigner though so maybe he's not quite as brave "stupid" as I would be and go drive it. Do the pictures show anything that might not be done quite right? I know who did the wrenching on it and i'm going to call them in the morning to find out what they have to say. The more input I can get from you guys though the better i'd feel about it.

Maybe its just me, but I like modifying things myself, so I know things are done right.

Thanks Ryde for posting those pics of it for me. I didn't even think about that.

Well my plan is to swap that motor out and put it into my red RX-7 below my name. For the price I can't even get the parts to do it plus i'll have a spare car.

The intake side IC piping looks about 1/2 inch too long but I think I can fix that. The pipes are alumium so they will polish up nicely.

Not sure the brand of the fmic but he said it's about 14 inches tall, an 8 row maybe?
