tII catback on na ?

im considering turboing my n/a later on after i collect all the parts and knowledge on doing it, would it be bad to have a turbo II catback exhaust on my s4 na ? i think id be better off getting that instead of headers since if i turbo it i wont need the headers and other stuff plus ill need bigger catback

i was figuring id need like a 2.75" - 3" exhaust piping with a 4.5" tip (ill use single outlet), im just hoping to have my na streetport decently quick with the stock header/presilencer, maybe put a str8 pipe in place of the cat and a new catback

everyone tells me turboing n/a is bad idea for me but whys it such a bad idea ? i would put the n/a header etc, but whats the point if ill be getting a max of 30hp for 600 bucks worth of exhaust ? id rather put a turbo etc on for 1000$ and get 100hp

I'm assuming you're going with an aftermarket turbo/manifold/wg setup so you will have already be close or over your $1000 budget. What about an intercooler and piping? Did you include the price of upgrading your fuel system (injectors, fuel pump, fuel control)? What about t2 drivetrain? Tuning? Stuff adds up quickly. It's much easier to just start with a jspec and do a t2 swap and then you have a much better platform to build off of.

planning on using an s5 turbo and s5 manifold , im on BUDGET ... im going cheap but it will perform!! lol, but id be getting most of the stuff used if possible, all the manifolds etc running on my n/a drivetrain until i can upgrade ... i already bought a new clutch and light flywheel... right now im waiting for my rebuild to come in then ill be driving that for a while and collecting parts for the turbo

I'm currently gathering parts for my own 6 port turbo. Parts collected so far:

TII LIM/FD UIM & TB, all portmatched to eachother and 6port block - $250
s5 TII exhaust manifold and turbo - $250
550cc injectors (primaries)- $50
Stock TII Intercooler and BOV (pending purchase, sorry guys) - $50
DP/MP for stock turbo - $100 (again, pending purchase, got hit with a few bills past few weeks)

After the above purchases, I'm planning on an SAFCII off ebay - ~$230

As you can see, I'm already about $70 shy of $1k. And that isn't a complete list of parts I need. Would it have been easier/ most likely cheaper to go Jspec TII? Yes. But I'm only aiming for about 230whp and this will get there on less boost... and its less common, so I thought why not?

Probably won't get started on this till mid-july, I need to save up some cash so I can pay someone to tune it.

As a side note, I'm mildly concerned with the health of my current N/A engine... slight possibility of coolant leak, I'm keeping my eyes on it. If it is, in fact, going, I'll prolly sell off some of these parts and drop a jspec in... didn't want to have to deal with a motor swap in the begining, but if the motor is comming out anyway, I might as well.
