Tid / Intake?

Whats the difference between the TID and intake on a t2, it looks the same to me..

well you can refer to intake as the filter but if your going to say it something broke on the intake they would think you have a NA so your better off putting TID

TID=turbo inlet duct = the pipe from the airflow meter to the turbo inlet.

Intake=General term used to describe piping/filter/possibly manifolds of an air intake system

which TID will still allow me to attach the airflow meter to it...
...or do all of them allow that hook up?

There are really nice aluminum TID's on thepartstrader.com Usually when someone tells me they have an intake on their turbo I assume their talking about the filter and adapter on the air flow meter. TID is like fingers said turbo inlet duct I consider them differant. Theres also a 3" kit on line for $50.00 comes with everything.. Go to a search engine and put in tlike 3" fc3s intake or turbo something like that

so can you combine the intake and the TID....

everytime i see someone with a TID, i dont see an intake (only one filter)....

its obvious im confused here

the filter is what people consider an intake. the stock air box and components are removed and a filter is put in their place

If you still have the stock ECU then the AFM must be in between the air filter and the TID. You don't have a choice.
