Throughts on Cam 2 Racing Fuel

I found a Mobil station which sells it up here in my state. The stuff is mad expensive but I was thinking of using it once in a while.

What positive or negative effects would this 110 octane fuel have on my car?

Soon to have Apexi SAFC (still debating what to buy)

If you got no clue on what octane does for your engine...adding higher octane stuff to your engine does NOT produce more power.&nbsp The extra power from additional octane is gained from advancing the ignition.&nbsp This is tricky with a turbo motor...we usually just turn the boost up more.

How much advance could you run on an NA with 110 octane? Would it provide any gains?

I realize that higher octane wont necessarily increase power directly, and I understand that lower octane is actually more flamable than high octane (therefore more power in some cases). Isnt the object of higher octane fuel to reduce pinging, knocking, and detonation? hell, it would be worth putting a few gallons in when I decide to take my car to the autoX for a good beating.

I am more concerned with the effects of afterburn, overheated exhaust, O2 sensor malfunction, and I guess you can say emissions (that is if it is really stinky). All this wondering would be at ignition timing of the factory setting, 20/5 ATDC.

You're right - usually anything over 100 octane is leaded.&nbsp Lead will kill O2 sensors and foul plugs...
