ok ok ok.. I understand what you are saying.. But this still is leaving one question unanswered Why is code 31 showing up? I'll try to set it all tomorrow.. I'm sorry that I'm causing some much trouble. I was just thinking maybe something was wrong with the solenoid since I'm getting that code. And also since If I manually move the black plunger with my finger that light NEVER comes on. It has worked before. And the led is fine I have checked it. But yeah I'll do what I can tomorrow to resolve this.

Since it's cold here my engine with the hood up gets cold really quick could you maybe tell me method two if it's not too much trouble..

BTW what's your paypal? I'd like to send you something it won't be much but it'll be something for your time.

The other method requires the intercooler being removed and lifting up on the screw that rests on top of the water thermowax's piston. No need to do that.

I know exactly what I'd do since your getting that code 31 and can't get rid of it. I'd heat up the engine and then pull the intercooler off. Maybe have the bolts that hold the intercooler out prior to heating the engine up so you can get it off real quick once you stop the engine.

So after the engine gets heated up, turn the engine off, then turn the key back to just ON. Whip that intercooler off. Find the TPS plug, but don't disconnect it from the harness. Then on the harness side of that connector, look for the green/red wire. Insert a piece of wire/paperclip into the wire side of that plug where the green/red is and put the meter on dcvolts. It should read one volt if set right.

Does not read one volt? Then turn the TPS screw til it does read one volt. Once that is done, reach over to the Relief solenoid and pull its plug off then put it back on. When you do that, you should be able to feel the relief solenoid operater/click. That would mean the ECU is working right and is putting a gnd on it's blue/yellow wire. OR you could leave the blue plug on the solenoid and backprobe the blue/yellow wire in the connector and you should read less than 2vdc which means the ground is coming from the ECU.

If you have the TPS set outputing one volt, and the voltage on the blue/yellow wire of the relief solenoid is still a full 12vdc.......eeeek. Something is wrong with the ECU or you have a open wire b/t the ECU to the Relief solenoid (blue/yellow wire) which is not likely imho.

IF that happened, I'd go to the ECU itself and first look at the narrow range TPS input at the ECU which should be one volt. It's pin 2F and is still a green/red wire just like at the TPS. IF that is one volt then go to the blue/yellow wire and see if it reads less than one volt (it'll be something like 1.5 vdc or so if it's putting out a gnd signal to the relief solenoid and the blue connector is on the solenoid). IF that is so, then code 31 should not be there anymore.

I THINK you have to clear the codes at some point or else they'll stay with you all the time. If I read the manual right, you remove the neg terminal from the battery and step on the brake pedal for ????fifteen seconds or so, and that makes sure the codes get erased. Something like that.

Do you have 12vdc on the black/white wire on the relief solenoid plug? When the plug is pulled off and the key is to ON? Seems at one point you said you didn't?
