Arrow throttle pedal adjustment?

so i jumped in and fixed my all out of wack tps sensor..moving dashpot/turning down idle screw ontop/ and the springed screw on the cam..it runs fine idles steady 750 no more bucking...now my throttle pedal is like half way down and hard to push compared to before..i adj my pedal stop screw under the dash but that didnt do anything. the cable itself has to much play before the pedal takes it..

car is 86 na gxl
question:
how to adj cable i am lost..

there should be a couple nuts on the throttle cable on the throttle body that will adjust it

there really is no other adjustment for the pedal itself other than the stop screw. not really a screw at all really..at any rate, as mentioned the slack can be increased or decreased by adjusting the two 12mm nuts on the cable itself. i would think that if the throttle cable were too tight that the idle would be pretty high..

yea i tried the two nuts and i couldnt get the slack out of it..in the bay its all fine just under the dash inside has about 1.5 inch of free play before the pedal grabs it..the pedal stays down on the floor.. almost like the cable itself is too long. it dosnt make sense to all of a sudden get this slack from the little minor adjustments i made. i guess ill play around with it a little more unless there is another option someone hasnt mentionsed already..

The cable could be stretched to a point where you can't have a win win. You either deal with some slack or you idle at 3,000revs and are miserable with life.

Buy a new one.
