Exclamation throttle body mod

just wondering, those of you that have done the tb mod and removed the cold idle/whatever its called system..how's the car idle warming up?do you have to sit there and manually keep the revs up till its warm?or does it hold a idle, just kinda crappy?and, along with that,in what kind of climate?i'm sorta thinkin'n about doing this, but, its somewhat cold a good portion of the year up here in the pacific northwest.also, where can you get more flow by porting the tb?is'nt the most restrictive are right where the throttle plates are, and, short of having the thing bored out and making some larger plates for it,where is there room for improvment?thanks

i just did that mod and when I start up my car (on a cold morning) it idles a bit low at the beginning. All I do is give it a little gas and it idles fine.

For the most part, my car holds a crappy idle until warm. It stalled on me once a couple days ago, but I did the mod about 2 months ago, so not bad. It is worth having to help it warm up.

The BAC can raise idle right? I'm no electrical engineer, but why not have something that would alter the signal going to the BAC depending on temprature? You know just to keep it around 1000 till its 3/4 warmed up or so.

Because it would add unnecessarry weight to the car. My foot doesn't add any because I already need it to drive, so I can also use it to warm up the car. I'm just being a smart ***. It's probably possible.

I dont have any problems with warming up my car. The only time it even stumbles is when the AWS turns off after 20 sec. The transition makes the car run horribly rich for a sec, and the engine stumbles for a sec, and then its fine. Other than that, no problems at all.

Accelerated Warmup System...its a solenoid that allows extra air past the throttle body and raises the idle speed to 3K for the first 20 seconds after the car is started.
