Thoughts about the ATTN 'New Members' sticky
I have to agree with TwinTurboTeddy... to a point. Using common sense is something that I see less and less in this society. I think we just have to accept that's it's going to happen (having a lack thereof), and just move on. What makes a newbie, is the fact that they have NO idea (or very little), whether it be about the car, or about just asking questions. We can't all assume that just because somebody has managed to get to this site, they have the foresight and ability to navigate through the pages, to 'ask the right questions', or more importantly, not to 'ask the stupid questions'. Having spent more than 2 years doing computer tech on the phones talking to users, I've realised that no matter how 'smart' you might be, everyone needs to have a helping hand every now and again.
Just my 1 cent worth.
(damn, I wish I didn't have so much time on my hands... and so do others I'm sure )

StarionX, you are a scholar and a gentle...person. On the other hand, it is amusing to see how some "knowitalls" can make asses of themselves.

I agree, it is amusing.
Since I, don't fall into the category of 'knowitall', I have no problems making an *** of myself every now and again. Then again, I really don't give 2 ***** about what others think of me.
To be fair though, my knowledge about RX-7s has risen exponentially since I started coming to this site (not withstanding the fact that this is my 3rd rotary in 10 years), and even though I am not really a 'do it yourself' person, it is still all very useful to know. I owe a big thank you, to a lot of knowledgeable, and more importantly, experienced people that make this community.
