Third Exhaust?

Hello, I have a N/A with a third exhaust coming from the reactor. I believe that this is standard on UK spec. cars.
I was just wondering what would be the best thing to do regarding an exhaust upgrade, as most of the suggestions i have seen dont seem to have this?
Are there any advantages of integrating this into the dual system if it is even possible?

You totally lost me. I think it's the terms.

By Reactor I am guessing the Cat?

Anyways. Racing beat , Apexi N1, and Corksport are some major exhaust companies.

The Racing Beat is a Dual exhaust system
The Corksport is a Single 2.5inch to 3inch or full 3 inch
The N1 is single or Dual exhaust I think.

No, guys... Dammit, common, if you don't know, why are you even posting???... rant-damm post ******

An additional exhaust line was common from a thermal reactor equipped rotary engine. Normally these were only like 1 inch dia coming off of the thermal reactor.

So, to actually answer the quys question instead of spouting:

If you are keeping the thermal reactor in your exhaust upgrade, then you need to keep the additional line. If you are getting rid of the thermal reactor, then it is perfectly fine to remove the extra line. There is no advantage in keeping the extra line without having a thermal reactor.

im assuming that a thermal reactor is a catalytic converter?? and the additional line is the line from the airpump?

Cheers guys, Icemark;
What does the reactor do and is it worth keeping?
This isn't a problem, but...
The reason i ask is basically the line is quite badly corroded and i was wondering if i should just replace it with a stainless steel line of the same dia (Yea it is about 1 inch)? If i remove the line is it ok just to remove the reactor? What does this involve?
Are there any upsides/dowsides to this?
She failed her MOT on this before i think.

I will try to get some pics next time i get my hands on a digital camera.

If it was dont you think they would have called it a cat, and and air pump line? Go look at an older first gen, they had reacters. I allways wondered why thaey had that weird tiny second muffler,.. thanx icemark
Also its interesting that the european FC's had reactors,..

The thermal reactor is used as a cat converter on rotarys in countrys that do not have strong emissions controls like Japan, Canada or the USA. It burns the large amount of unburnt hydrocarbons/mixture that the rotary engine tends to dump at higher RPM. We actually had them on the pre-'80's rotary powered cars in the states.

So downside of removing it, is that the exhaust will stink a little more without it and you may occasionally get flames coming out of your exhaust pipe(s).

But the upside is that the petrol mileage will increase as will the horse power/ KW output.

If you are thinking of keeping it, some regular aluminized exhaust tubing would be fine. No need to use anything as fancy as Stainless steel.
