Thinking about buying a 91vert Got questions

So I'm looking to buy a low mileage(under 30K) vert that has been taken good care of and I was wondering, what will I have to replace because of it being a 17 year old car. I know of belts, fluids, tires. Cosmetically the car is like new inside and out. Are there any specific parts that may be trouble parts for a 91 RX7? Right now the car has no issues what so ever, everything works and has been driven every summer. Thanks

Check all the electrical items, there will be some things to fix. Wipers (both speeds) antenna, highbeam switch etc.

You should think about new shocks and you should treat every leather surface with Leatherique as soon as you possibly can.

Good Luck.

when I got low mileage verts in the past they required nothing as far as switches go, they all worked perfect.

Just your basics that any 17 year old car would need, nothing else really.
Full tune, belts, hoses, thermostat, coolant, oil and fuel filters.

They are actually pretty durable cars and when in the hands of a mature owner last a long time with little care.

My vert was rough around the edges when I purchased it, but nothing was really wrong with it. My wiper switch is shot (still is), the seats were worn and the top needed replacing. Other than that, the car was 100% mechanically functional. Give the car a once over and make sure everything works.

Logical disconnect here.
If the car has "been taken good care of", you shouldn't have to replace anything.

Right, everything works but I was thinking of things that may need replacing from age. Maybe hoses, belts, and shocks. It only has 26,000 miles and has been kept in a Garage its whole life. It may need nothing. I'm picking it up tommorow morning. The guy says the paint is so good, he's only waxed it once. No swirls. I am excited. I have emailed the guy for a year with a lower price. He finally gave in. I have a guy coming over tomorrow afternoon to look at my Pearl 2001 Prelude SH with 61,000 miles. It was a great daily driver that never got driven much.

Well, I guess you'll find out.
A lot will depend on how the car was treated during it's (obviously) pampered life.

If the owner was thorough, the belts and hoses- and coolant- were regularly flushed/replaced.
Probably of more concern would be the tires.
I once bought a TR3 that had tires that looked fine upon a casual inspection- as part of the "pre-sale" cleanup the seller had ArmorAll-ed them to death. Turns out they were somewhat dry rotted and the ArmorAll seeped into the carcass and it started shedding chunks of tread right away. Kind of a scary ride home.
