Well I called some old friends at a Nissan Recycling yard who recommended me back to a previous mentioned listing (in the other thread). As it turns out, they do have a long block S4 with only a start warranty but they say compression #s are 125psi on the motor. They say they're willing to compression test it in front of me. Sounds good, what do you guys think? Anything else I should be wary of?? Thanks again.

Sounds pretty good to me. As long as you know the compression numbers are good (which they are) a start warranty is just as good as a 30 day warranty because a good compression engine will not go in 30 days.
If you mod it improperly it might, but modifications would void the warranty anyway.

Might as well have them to the check infront of you - no harm in that! Just look over the engine to make sure all parts look to be in fairly good condition.

You're looking for even pulses. 125 x 3 per chamber would be excellent.

Check the condition of the oil. Smell it, feel it. General good look over.

Just remember it is a used engine, see if they do a pressurized coolant test
