Things NOT to do when working on your RX-7
Don't put hand towels in both the intercooler holes. I did it because I was sketched about dirt getting inside with the intercooler off, which is a good idea but don't forget them. I did this once and forgot about them, good thing I didn't go for a drive, just idle in the driveway for a minute.
And if you touch your plug wires while it is running and promptly find yourself dreuling... You need new plug wires...
if Only i had found this post saturday morning.... before arching my wrench between the alt. postive and the engine...
Not an FC thing but never under any circumstances take a 3 foot breaker bar with about a foot of extensions attatched to the main pully on your honda accord resting on a jack standand jump up and down on it. Your 260lbs self on the end of a 3 foot breaker bar creates some major inertia. when you slip off of the bar and it snaps back it will come off the extensions fly about 50 feet in the air and come smashing through the windsheild of your nissan pickup truck sitting 15 feet away in the drive way. At least thats what I hear.

When pushing an RX7 that is stuck on ice, never... ever... trust your footing!!!! almost gave myself a concussion.
Also when pushing an RX7, if pushing from the drivers side door while steering, make sure your foot is not inline with the track which the rear wheel will be rolling. opps!!!
Body work actually is as fun as watching paint dry....
When finishing a major repair or modification and attempting the ceremonial first post work start... always re-hookup the battery FIRST... d'oh!!!
Starting is also more effective when the ECU is plugged in... opps.
That's all I have for now.
