dont try pushing your car off ramps by yourself...
tryed sitting in it pushing with legs couldnt grip ground so my genius mind thought i could grab the door and pull it off so what happens i get it rolling off back into the garage and i didnt tie my shoes so its starting to roll i step on shoe laces door grabs my shin ******* takes my *** down onto the cement. so legs are mangled under the door bleeding and the top of the door is bent by grabbing the side of the garage frame and im pinned no joke under this **** couldnt roll it off because the front wheels were at the base of the ramps..had to pull out the cell call mom to come out and move tyhe ramps so i could get out..made my ******* day but at least someone(mom) got a good laugh out of it. still have the bend in the top of the driver door to remind my dumb *** to not do stupid ****.

After changing the fuel filter.. dont try to put the leaked fuel back in the car! your just going to clog the new filter again!

When you have the front of the car up higher than the rear, remember to drain the transmission fluid before removing the driveshaft. I had a slick hairdo for the next couple days. A while with a scrub brush and a bottle of Dawn helped a good bit tho.

When changing your clutch and trying to put your tranny back in always remember to remove the alignment tool. And then remember to remove your fingers. Sucks trying to put in a tranny with a broke index finger.

+ about draining tranny fluid FIRST, and +100 about labeling ****.
a couple of more things
1) make sure to REPLACE the oil filter before craking the engine again.............in front of a friend........................
2) check directionality on tires before putting them on..............
3) when parking on ramps, either have a spotter or wide enough ramps................
4) oil and tranny fluid dont taste good
5) NEVER NEVER NEVER let your father work on your car or drive it...................

peace

when lowering engine into the car, have a buddy lower while you guide the engine.

I'd like to ammend that.

Do not touch any screws holding interior trim, or everything will crack.

On an RX-7:
- tranny fluid out the back. Stunk up my coveralls and the garage floor for months (even with washing).
- when disconnecting vacuum hoses, label them all.

Not on an RX-7:
- fuel in the eyes....not fun.
- you can't twist a torsion bar with a c-clamp...when it started bending, I thought I was gonna die, felt it was a good time to stop tightening.

Carb cleaner hurts the eyes, catback falling on face hurts, umm when using torch to heat stuck bolts, watch the torch. Put the turbo heat shield on BEFORE putting the turbo back. make sure you are totally done before putting coolant back in.
pressure test the fuel system before putting the mani back on... pretty much common sense but we are all dumb asses occasionally.

lol with the parking brake on while changing rear brakes... my buddy and i did this on his jeep. could't figure out why the hell the rotors woulnd't come off. "dude they should just slide off." "well go get that hammer."
