normally, i would agree 100% with you, but when you hear the same thing over and over again, yes, i would like proof. he doesn't seem to be in the rx7 "community," so i doubt he knows what we want. most people, however, know what will and wont possibly sell (even if its needed it may not sell well).
in short, i know where you're coming from, but my opinion is different. we all know everyone has a dream, but most of us now want more proof than ideas. in fact, pictures of someone working with carbon fiber/fiberglass/etc would be enough to take them more seriously. most people who have ideas should themself have an idea of what its like to work with something, and hopefully they may have pics of them working or of something they have done.

Thats kinda cool.

Pricey though!

I honestly cant think of anything carbonfiber that I would want for my street driven FC though, it tends to be expensive stuff, and like most FC drivers, I have no money! :O

(Unless it was some amazingly cool looking bodykit with a mild spoiler made with presision and quality with an already established good reputation and the whole thing costs less then $100 including the CF targa top, underbody pan, and CAI)

Seriously though, The only thing I can think of that would really sell even moderately well is if you took a look at those CAI boxes that enclose the cone filters, and get air from below and from the snorkel (Like in recent posts)

That was the introductory price of the first 20 pieces. $125 is the regular price of them.

okay people one i would buy by the end of summer a set of cf fenders i also happen too like the look of the cf sideskirts dave has made and will be picken a set of them up before summer is over hopefully too. Also i am mainly concerned with speed as u can tell when u get in my car there is no radio no speakers and no speaker wires my car is soon too be devoid of any interior except 2 seats front dash and center console. But our cars are starting too show there age in the looks department (especially our NA S4's) so i am loving the cf thing cause i love the performance gains with looks and now the cf hatch i would love too see bein made with a lexan window in it i mean the hatch feels like its sheet metal not too light if u ask me and its up high the place where u deff dont want weight cs or sombody already sells a fiberglass one but i am lookin for a cf one too buy eventually so basically bring on more cf parts i love them and as the funds come in ill be picken them up and for all u haters on dave hes made some awesome stuff and ive heard more good than bad about his cf products hes designed and i love them cant wait tooo start picken some of it up (cf NA hood (i know i need a group buy of 10 for u too make them) cf center cover cf sideskirts cf gauge pod real nice im thinkin fenders hatch for lexan window (hatch and lexan window not till next summer)) so yea dave keep up the good work thats my two cents

You've gotta be shitting me.

About once a week somebody invariably posts on here about their pipe dream
HAHA Kevin's cool (straight-forward)

Just remember that 90% of the people who say they will buy your parts...will not buy them...

Thats just the way FC owners are.
Thats cause 80% of FC owners have their FC because they can't afford that beautiful FD.....

Well

90% of the ppl back out because it takes SOOOOOOOO LOOOONG!

I know a few hoods that were supposed to me in the making which people backed out because it took them almost a year to do.

Another reason why we don't buy parts.

We may not see the part being worth that much money.

The CF dasg guages being $175 might be more than what we're looking for.

Another thing.

Our cars love to break..........................

Every time I think I'm starting to come up and accrue some saved money something comes along.

First it was my blown engine.

Then it's little things like a damn Vac leak which has forced me to buy the Rx7store Vac line kit.

I DO plan to buy some CF stuff for my car.

I will be getting thr CF TII hood soon.
My TII conversion has a NA hood with a hacked hole in it now. My car is black so unpainted CF will fit right in.

That's one beatiful thing about CF. You don't have to paint it to make it mathc/look good on your car.

I am making my own fresh air headlight cover in CF though for the learning experience and it's cheaper then buying through a company.
