thermostat removal?
thermostat removal?
ok well i found my turbo II and im picking it up tomorrow. its a 1988 10ae turbo II wit 124000 miles on the chassis.. about 60k on the street port and rebuild. he took out his thermostat because he said it makes it run cooler? how can this be?has ne1 heard of this? and should i put it bak in?
Put back in the thermostat, but make sure you purchase a OEM thermostat from Mazda. I found out my RX-7 did not have a thermostat. Now that I put one in, the car warms up faster and idles like it should.
yeah without a thermostat actually makes the engine more prone to heat problems than with one.
See without a thermostat the coolant flows too fast to absorb the heat that it is supposed too, so you end up with hot spots and other issues.
