Thermostat Question

Ok, YES Santiago, I did do a search and couldnt find anything.

I went to the Mazda dealer to buy a new OEM Thermostat for my 87 N/A but basically i woud have to wait a week and a half for the part to come in, so what i was wondering is: Does the thermostat that Mazdatrix sell work? Is that one as good as the Mazda OEM?

Thank you in advance.

PS: I saw this nice wristwatch while at the Mazda. It was a rotor with a clock in it. Really nice.

I'd heard that the OEM design had changed a little (no jiggle pin?), but I think the overall consensus is to remain with the Mazda 'stats...

I was wondering because this is what says at Mazdatrix:

All rotary's must have a thermostat for street application.
The rotary thermostat must be for a By-Pass System.(has spring-loaded disc on bottom)
The use of the wrong thermostat will cause 20% to 30% loss in cooling capacity.

So what I think is that they know what they are selling. Not sone peice of crap that i can get at AutoZone for 5$

Edit:
PS: Heres the pic at Mazdatrix:

Yes, Mazdatrix knows what they are selling- even more than most Mazda dealerships...Those guys are the best vendor, IMO, for our cars...

He's the last person who should be hassling anyone about not searching...
